Graduated from Keiô University, where he majored in politics. Has spent his career working for Mitsubishi Estate Co., of which he has been president and is now chairman. His works include Marunouchi keizaigaku: Kono machi ga 21-seiki no Tokyo o ken’in suru (Marunouchi Economics: This District Will Lead Tokyo in the Twenty-first Century).
