Received her master’s degree in theology from Wheaton College. Has been a visiting scholar at Harvard University and professor emerita of Tokyo Christian University. Is now president of Tokyo Woman’s Christian University. Author of Hontô no pâtonâshippu (True Partnership) and other works.
